HOW DO I SIGN UP FOR A CLASS?

You can register directly through our website on the Upcoming Classes page. Each course listing includes the date, time, and location. Once you check out, you’ll receive a confirmation email and your online-course voucher (for blended classes) within 24 hours.

HOW MUCH DOES A CLASS COST?

Pricing varies depending on certification type and location. All costs are listed clearly on each class page during registration.

WHAT IF I DON’T RECEIVE MY RED CROSS VOUCHER?

Your voucher should arrive by email shortly after registration. If you don’t see it, check your spam folder. If it’s still missing, contact us and we’ll resend it right away so you can start your online portion.

WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION OR RESCHEDULING POLICY?

All registrations are non-refundable. If your plans change, you may reschedule your class up to 48 hours before your scheduled session, as long as space is available.

Signal & Field may cancel a class if minimum enrollment isn’t met. If that happens, you can choose a full refund or move to another available date.

Please note that same-day cancellations, no-shows, and students who haven’t completed the required online portion before class time are not eligible for rescheduling

COURSE REQUIREMENTS AND EXPECTATIONS

DO I NEED TO COMPLETE THE ONLINE PORTION BEFORE ATTENDING?

Yes. For blended learning courses, the American Red Cross online portion must be completed before the in-person skills session. Your voucher and instructions will arrive by email after registration.

HOW LONG IS THE IN-PERSON SESSION?

Most CPR, First Aid, AED, and BLS in-person sessions run about 2 to 2.5 hours, depending on class size and course type. Exact times are listed on each course page.

WHERE IS CLASS HELD?

We teach at several partner locations across North Georgia. The address for your session will be listed on the class page and in your confirmation email. Please double-check the location and start time when you register.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING TO CLASS?

Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to kneel, move, and perform CPR practice on the floor. All training materials and equipment are provided.

WILL I NEED TO GET ON THE FLOOR DURING CLASS?

Yes. CPR skills require kneeling, compressions, and hands-on practice on a manikin. We will work with you if you have physical limitations. Just let us know before class begins.

WILL I NEED TO PASS A SKILLS TEST?

Yes. American Red Cross certification requires demonstrating each skill correctly during the session.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I ARRIVE LATE?

For safety and certification accuracy, late arrivals beyond 10 minutes cannot be admitted. You can reschedule into a future class.

HOW LONG IS MY CERTIFICATION VALID?

American Red Cross CPR/FA/AED and BLS certifications are valid for two years.

HOW WILL I RECEIVE MY CERTIFICATION CARD?

American Red Cross certificates are delivered digitally by email through the Red Cross system. You can also access your certifications anytime by logging into your Red Cross account.

WHAT IF I NEED A REPLACEMENT OR UPDATED CERTIFICATION CARD?

You can download or reprint your certificate anytime from your American Red Cross account. If you have trouble accessing it, Contact Us and we can help guide you.

ARE YOUR COURSES ACCEPTED BY MY EMPLOYER?

American Red Cross CPR /First Aid / AED and BLS certifications meet national standards and workplace requirements across most industries. For specialized roles or licensing boards, check with your employer to confirm acceptance.

CAN I GET CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDITS?

Some American Red Cross courses offer CEUs through their online portion. You will see an option in your American Red Cross account if your course qualifies.

BLS FOR HEALTHCARE PROVIDERS

IS YOUR BLS CERTIFICATION ACCEPTED FOR HEALTHCARE JOBS?

Yes. American Red Cross BLS meets national standards and is accepted by most hospitals, clinics, and healthcare employers. Always check with your employer if you have unique licensing requirements.

IS THIS THE SAME AS AN AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION BLS CERTIFICATION?

It’s equivalent in training and recognized by most employers, but it is issued through the American Red Cross, not the American Heart Association. If your workplace requires AHA specifically, confirm before registering.

HOW LONG IS THE BLS SKILLS SESSION?

Most BLS in-person sessions take about 2 to 2.5 hours. Exact times are listed on each course page.

CAN I RENEW BLS EVEN IF MY CERTIFICATION HAS EXPIRED?

Yes. American Red Cross BLS allows renewal whether your previous certification is current or expired.

DO YOU OFFER ON-SITE OR PRIVATE GROUP CLASSES?

Yes. We offer on-site CPR, First Aid, AED, and BLS training for businesses, schools, churches, and community groups across North Georgia. For details or to request a private class, head over to our Group Training page.

HOW DOES GROUP PRICING WORK?

Group rates are discounted and based on class size, course type, and location. On-site sessions at your workplace are often the most cost-effective. Send your group size and location and we’ll provide exact pricing.

HOW MANY PEOPLE DO I NEED FOR A GROUP CLASS?

Group classes typically require a minimum of 4 participants. Reach out and we can confirm availability for your team or organization.

DO YOU TRAVEL OUTSIDE ELLIJAY / NORTH GEORGIA?

Yes. We typically travel anywhere within a two-hour radius of Ellijay. If you’re unsure whether your location falls inside our coverage area or you have a special request, just reach out and we’ll let you know what’s possible.
